orkplace safety goes beyond physical security. In India, ensuring dignity and respect at work is a legal and moral responsibility under the PoSH Act, 2013 (Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace). Organizations today are expected to not only implement PoSH compliance but also build a culture of trust and inclusivity.
What is PoSH Compliance?
PoSH compliance requires organizations with 10 or more employees to have an Internal Committee (IC), create awareness among staff, and provide regular posh training for employees. It ensures that companies have mechanisms to prevent, address, and resolve workplace sexual harassment cases in line with the law.
Failure to comply with PoSH regulations can result in heavy penalties, reputational damage, and even suspension of business licenses. More importantly, non-compliance compromises employee well-being and workplace morale.
